High Stakes Poker Season 6 Episode 10 Recap
I love how the episode starts out with Gabe Kaplan’s commentary about Shabbat dinner at Eli Elezra’s house. As a proud member of “the tribe” myself, it’s always funny to hear other Jews make fun of themselves. Sure, I’d play poker with my friends too instead of having a Shabbat dinner with my kids, LOL, why not?!
High Stakes Poker Season 6 Episode 9 Recap
Disclaimer: This episode was far more notable for being “laugh out loud” hilarious, rather than for its poker play. We’ll try to get some poker commentary in here, but it’s impossible to write about what happened without focusing on some of the episode’s funnier moments. Also want to shout out to Gabe Kaplan – Mr. Kotter, you’re freaking hilarious!!! I hope you stay on this show forever!
High Stakes Poker Season 6 Episode 7 Recap
Away from the table action, once again I liked the Negreanu Did You Know? segment about implied odds (excellent addition to the show this season!). What was even more entertaining, however, HILARIOUS as a matter of fact, was Gabe Kaplan’s post-segment commentary about “putting your opponent on implied tilt and he might give you an implied middle finger” LOL…

I find it interesting that Antonius, Dwan, and Ivey each bought in with $500k, as opposed to the $200k everyone else bought in for (Negreanu bought in for the $346k that he had remaining from previous session). I wonder if Dwan, Ivey, and Antonius feel more comfortable with bigger stacks, or if others feel less comfortable with smaller stacks against them.

Also about Negreanu, I’ve grown to like and appreciate his “Did You Know?” segment in season 6. As opposed to vignettes like “The Nuts” that we’ve seen in past seasons of High Stakes Poker just for entertainment purposes, the Did You Know segments presents some nice explanations of more advanced poker concepts.
High Stakes Poker Season 6 Episode 4 Recap
Away from the action at the table, I wanna say that I loved Kara Scott’s 30-second segment on the best question ask a player to get information. More specifically, I liked Gus Hansen’s reply: “Did you get laid last night?” I think I might ask that next time I sit down at the felt, and see what kind of information I’ll get J
