Some specific recommendations were made, including using dedicated laptops and firewalls, and maintaining general awareness and reporting concerns to site admins if something seems awry.

Overall, I felt that many people get spooked by the possibility of online poker being rigged against them of infested with bots and others with malicious intent. The reader’s question seemed worthy enough to me of being made public, such that the answers provided could hopefully help others feeling/experiencing similar issues.
